13 Easy Ways To Boost Your Energy Levels Without Harming Your Health

## Here are a few points… Before you start building up your energy potential, you should understand what is taking away your strength. Your next step is to visit a doctor and get tested. Fatigue often hides heart and thyroid problems, anemia, autoimmune diseases, hidden bacterial and viral infections. The doctor will most likely recommend an examination: a general and biochemical blood test, a blood test for hormones. Do not forget to discuss with your specialist the medications you are already taking. Fatigue may be a side effect of the medication. If the problem is not health-related, then you can safely try=== the following: ## Food is our energy __Drink water.__ One of the most common causes of decreased energy is dehydration. And the usual energy drink or coffee will not help to cope with it. Yes, it does give a quick burst of energy— but then it gives an equivalent cooldown. So it is worth at least occasionally replacing coffee with herbal tea or pure water. And completely abandon alcohol until the situation normalizes. __Give up sweets.__ Simple carbohydrates quickly raise your blood glucose level, after which it plummets, making you feel even more tired. __Eat rationally.__ Proteins, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, dietary fiber, and complex carbohydrates provide an even level of energy. Include vegetable oils, nuts, fatty fish, seafood, eggs, dark chocolate, avocados, and bananas in your diet. ## Change your lifestyle __Observe your daily routine.__ Try to stick to a strict schedule for at least a week and your energy level will increase. __Get enough sleep.__ Go to bed at the same time each night and wake up at the same time each morning—weekends are no exception. __Get some rest.__ Close your eyes and relax for 10–15 minutes in the middle of the day. __Breathe.__ If you feel that you have no strength left at all, take a break. Breathing exercises will help you feel a surge of energy. __Take a walk.__ The best way to keep pace is to get a dog. __Monitor your physical activity.__ If you start training when your battery is at zero, you only waste energy and money. Therefore, we increase activity gradually. At first, just try to move more. Once you have done that, sign up for yoga or swimming, join a Nordic walking group, or start running. It won’t be long before you see the results! __Take supplements.__ In pharmacies and stores, you can easily find dietary supplements that can help raise energy levels. These can be supplements containing magnesium, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, B vitamins, tryptophan, and plant extracts. __Don't want to waste your money?__ Consult with a specialist before you begin your lifestyle changes and be sure to undergo any needed tests. You must get the right complex of vitamins. ## Be positive __Don't be nervous.__ Find an activity that reduces your stress levels and devote at least half an hour daily to it. Draw, listen to music, dance. The main thing is that your hobby is enjoyable, which will give you energy. __Connect with positive people.__ Rage, anger, and resentment are very energy-consuming. So it's worth learning how to deal with these emotions and control them. Ideally, you should be surrounded by people who can cheer you up. Helping those who need it, becoming a volunteer, and participating in charitable projects will also make you feel better. __Dream and set goals.__ This point may not seem serious enough to you. But it does work better than others. As soon as you have a goal in life, the body mobilizes forces to achieve it. Dream, make plans, move forward, and be healthy!
