__Berries and cream__: This is a classic combo. Berries are sweet, juicy, and low in calories, and they also contain a lot of health benefits including vitamins, antioxidants, and dietary fiber. Top a cup of berries with a spoonful of whipped cream or natural yogurt.
__Fruit ice__: You can buy ready-made low-sugar ice, or you can make your own without sugar. It can be made with juice, fresh or frozen fruits, and berries along with tea, coffee, and other fruit drinks. The most delicious ice is made from juice with pulp or fruit puree.
__Bitter chocolate__: A few slices a couple of times a week will not add too many calories, but it will improve your mood. Bitter chocolate has less sugar and more cocoa than milk chocolate, which makes it darker. Choose chocolate with at least 70 percent cocoa.
__Yogurt parfait__: Just as delicious as ice cream with fruit, but with less added sugar and more fiber and nutrients. Mix natural yogurt with fresh berries, a few nuts, and a small handful of granola. Most importantly, don't overdo the portion of each.
__Chocolate-glazed bananas__: This dessert may look unusual, but it is appetizing, easy to make, and healthy. Freeze the banana slices and melt bitter chocolate. Dip the bananas in the chocolate and sprinkle with ground nuts if desired. Then put them back in the freezer until the frosting solidifies. Eat no more than 2–3 slices at a time.
__Poached pears__: This is a simple but elegant and healthy dessert, as one pear contains about 100 calories. Pears should be cut into halves and stewed until soft in apple juice or red wine. When the pear is soft, you can serve it with a little cream and low-fat dessert cheese.
__Chocolate milk__: Make it yourself from low-fat milk and natural cocoa to limit the amount of sugar in it.
