They can add two or three snacks to their main meals without harm. But if due to genetics, a person uses up glycogen slowly, then frequent meals and snacks will likely result in weight gain. In addition, even a small meal leads to a rise in insulin, so this meal plan is not suitable for diabetics. __Is snacking bad for you?__ It depends on what is being eaten. Snacks like cookies and chips will likely result in weight gain, while healthier alternatives such as fruits, vegetables, and nuts are a better option.
