Diet for Libido

## Food and sex: how are they connected? Human sexual activity (in both men and women) depends on biochemical processes that occur in the body. Diet is an essential part of these processes. In addition, to maintain libido, the body needs calories (energy) because nature provides for the “shutdown” of desires if sex is undesirable at the moment due to lack of food. ## Fat is allowed! Polyunsaturated fatty acids are the first friends of libido, so the diet should include ===olives, seafood, nuts, and unrefined vegetable oils. However, fatty dairy products should be avoided: even with normal lactose digestion, the digestion of milk takes too much energy from the body. ## Fish and meat Proteins in the diet affect the work of endocrine glands, which produce sex hormones. Plant and animal proteins are important, so the diet should include meat, legumes, nuts, and fish. To determine the optimal amount, focus on the latest World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations: men need to eat at least 50 grams of protein per day, and women need to eat 40 grams. ## Avocado Avocados contain phytosterols, which also stimulate the production of sex hormones and increase desire. ## B vitamins Lack of B vitamins in the diet drastically reduces sex drive in both sexes. The daily menu should include all vitamins of this group, which is not difficult to achieve if you regularly consume eggs, beans, cottage cheese, and cereals. B vitamins are also found in honey, spinach, and other green vegetables. ## Garlic Allicin, a substance found in garlic, improves blood flow to the genitals and pelvic organs. This has the most positive effect on a woman's ability to reach orgasm, and in men, it improves erections and the duration of intercourse. However, it is better not to eat garlic immediately before a date. ## Celery Although not a very popular vegetable, celery can be helpful to libido because it contains the hormone androsterone, which is usually released during or after physical activity. Androsterone can stimulate sexual arousal and more vivid sensations during sexual intercourse. ## Other aphrodisiacs There are a number of other aphrodisiacs, including mushrooms, oysters and seafood, dates and artichokes, chocolate, and dry red wine. These products are surrounded by a kind of esoteric halo, and their effect on the body is due to the increased content of zinc and selenium, both of which are involved in the synthesis of testosterone.
