5 Dairy Products To Avoid

__Skim milk__: It would seem that skim milk, which has less fat content, would be better for a diet. However, there is practically nothing useful in some varieties of skim milk, as many nutrients are eliminated when the fat is removed. Be careful not to consume products that have had flavorings, glucose, and preservatives added. This can cause liver and kidney issues. __Ice cream__: A recent study by scientists from Oxford University showed that lowering the temperature of mucous membranes in the mouth decreases blood flow to the brain, and an abundance of sugar increases appetite. When high in calories and sugar, ice cream can cause not only weight gain but can also affect your pancreas, disrupting normal insulin production. __Spreads__: These are sometimes more like vegetable-dairy products, and often they contain no dairy at all. However, they often have palm oil and trans fats. Despite these downsides, people often choose spreads because they have fewer calories than butter. It is important to remember that trans fats are poorly broken down, and therefore create an increased load on digestion, especially on the liver and gallbladder. __Sweet yogurts__: The normal shelf life of yogurt is 5 days. Avoid any yogurts that have any added sugar! Manufacturers often put sugar, sweet fruit, and preservatives in yogurts to make them sweeter and last for up to one month. If you read the label of ones with preservatives, it's clear that your body will get nothing useful from this product — only sugar and unnecessary calories. __Processed cheese__: It is made from waste cheese production, and includes a lot of added salt to improve the plasticity of adding phosphates. As a result, it has high calories and minimal calcium.
