Enzyme immunoassay (ELISA) for parasites is a highly accurate diagnostic method that determines the presence of specific antibodies (IgG, IgM immunoglobulins) or parasite antigens (giardia, toxocara, echinococcus, opisthorchis, ascarids) in the blood, showing both current infection and past invasions. It allows you to identify parasitosis in the early stages, when stool analysis may still be negative, and is especially useful when the parasites are outside the intestine.

Indications for use

·Suspected parasitic disease.

·Nonspecific symptoms: malaise, allergic reactions, gastrointestinal problems.

·Living in endemic areas

Preparation for the study:

· The test is taken from the blood, on an empty stomach, in the morning. 

·Exclude alcohol 24 hours before the analysis.

·In some cases, medication withdrawal is required (in consultation with a doctor)
